Wedding Music

There are many opportunities to include the use of wedding music during the big day to evoke the create mood and feeling. Here’s just a few ideas:

Walking down the isle.
Music is traditionally used to announce the arrival of the participants of the wedding (such as a bride’s processional), and in many western cultures, this takes the form of a wedding march. The most popular processional has been Wagner’s Bridal Chorus for over 100 years often called ‘Here comes the bride’ and traditionally played on a church organ. These days more couples are opting for more modern pieces such as canon in D and even their favourite pop tune!

During the ceremony.
Signing the register is a great time to add some music to the ceremony, it gives the guests something to listen to while the signing and photos take place and also reflects something of the character of the couple getting married.

The drinks reception.
This is the time for the party to start, get the guests in the mood! A party duo such as afterdark duo or trio would be perfect for this time.
